A little about me.
Based in Margaret River since 2014; I grew up and began my path as a Psychotherapist in Argentina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Belgrano. Upon graduation, I worked in both private and public practices, largely with teenagers and young adults where I gained extensive experience in dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse and general life transition assistance as they adjust to adult life.
Since opening my practice here in Western Australia, common topics that I help clients with include relationships, work problems, identity issues and helping individuals to develop their self worth and self esteem. I believe that with the right help, anyone can find the resources within themselves to overcome life challenges and thrive.
In Argentina, therapy is a way of life. It’s not necessary to feel ‘broken’ or ‘crazy’ to reach out and talk with a qualified professional. In fact, the secret to a healthy and happy life is look at therapy or counselling as a lifelong journey, to dip in and out of, encouraging you to develop healthy processes and patterns as challenges arise. We regularly take our car to the mechanic for a service, our bodies to the gym to gain strength, and our sore muscles to the masseuse to be soothed. Why not treat our hearts and minds to the same preventative care?
Above any methodology or degree, without a doubt, the patient-therapist relationship is the essence of a successful outcome. There is no question that communication is the most valuable avenue towards facing challenging situations, and that if you aren’t comfortable with your therapist, the job can’t be done. I therefore always encourage that we have a relaxed first meeting in person or a chat on the phone before beginning with any course of therapy or counselling.
You’re always with yourself, so you might as well enjoy the company
